Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church get ACM nominations

Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Hunter Hayes and Miranda Lambert are among the top nominees at this year's Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.

Swift will defend the flagship 'Entertainer of the Year' trophy against Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and The Voice coach Blake Shelton this year.

However, it was Church who picked up the biggest total number of nominations, getting the nod in seven categories including 'Album of the Year' and 'Male Vocalist of the Year'.

He is effectively nominated twice in the 'Song of the Year' category for 'Springsteen', as the award recognises a track's composer, publisher and artist independently.

Grammy nominee Hayes is nominated six times over, and is similarly recognised twice in the 'Song of the Year' category as composer and performer of 'Wanted'.

Swift and Lambert have five nominations apiece, while Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Kacey Musgraves are each up for four awards.

Shelton, Jason Aldean, Eli Young Band and Florida Georgia Line are each in the running for three awards.

The 48th annual ACM Awards will air from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, April 7 at 8/7c on CBS.
